Engineering leadership mentor for Poland

Poland runs the largest engineering scene in CEE. It shares one problem with the rest of the region: the leadership advice on offer is written for Silicon Valley, not for Warsaw or Kraków.

I mentor 1:1 in English from Prague. Same timezone, same market logic. 3,400+ sessions with 300+ engineering leaders across 17+ countries since 2019.

Why a CEE-native mentor beats a US playbook

US playbooks assume budgets and hiring pools Polish scale-ups do not have. CEE leaders deal with flatter salary bands, conservative boards, and teams split between a local hub and a Western HQ. I have mentored through those exact constraints since 2019, in this region.

Sessions run in English, remote-first, CET. No 6pm-vs-9am call windows, no advice that has to be translated from a different market before it works.

A leadership peer network next door

The Engineering Leaders Community I founded runs 2,000+ engineering leaders across CEE, 12 in-person meetups a year, and an annual conference with 500+ attendees and speakers from Netflix and Stripe.

Leading engineering in Warsaw or Kraków? Both cities have a dedicated page below, with the specifics of hub-vs-HQ leadership in each.

What mentees say

“I was pleased to work, learn, and discuss essential development matters such as SDLC, OKRs, and team management tactics with Marian at our 15+ sessions. I recommend Marian with complete trust.”
Idan Fridman · Director of Engineering, DraftKings
“Marian was part of helping scale up our technical teams from 35 to 100 people. One of his key successes was around creating visibility on engineering output and ensuring we were able to more effectively reach our goals.”

Frequently asked

Do you speak Polish?+

No. Sessions run in English. Czech and Slovak get me through the coffee chat at CEE conferences, but we work in English.

Remote or in person?+

Remote by default, CET timezone. In person at ELC events across CEE, or in Prague.

Can my company pay for it?+

81% of my mentees are company-funded. The invoice goes to your employer with full VAT details ready for procurement. Most CTOs approve it within a day.

Why a mentor from Prague and not a local coach?+

Same constraint set: CEE budgets, Western HQs, US playbooks that do not quite fit. Pick whoever has the most reps with your exact problem. Mine: 3,400+ sessions with 300+ leaders since 2019.

How much does engineering leadership mentoring cost?+

Public pricing: 430 EUR per 60-min session, 2,166 EUR for a 6-session first quarter, or a 790 EUR/month sparring retainer. Companies get prepaid packs at 292 EUR per session. Full details at marian.coach/pricing.
