What we collect

This site is a static website. It does not create user accounts, host comments, or accept uploads. It collects the minimum information needed to keep the site online and to understand traffic:

  • IP address, request headers, and browser user agent, processed by Cloudflare as our CDN and DDoS protection provider.
  • Aggregate, cookie-free traffic analytics from Cloudflare Web Analytics (page views, referrers, country).
  • Usage analytics from Google Analytics and PostHog: page views, referrers, approximate country, which links you click, and how you move through the site. Unless you reject them, both store an identifier in your browser so we can tell a returning visit from a new one, and PostHog records a replay of your session with text inputs masked. PostHog data is processed in the EU.
  • If you send us your email address through a form on this site, that address is attached to your PostHog record. It is what lets us see that the person who wrote in is the same person who read three pages about fractional CTO work first — which is the difference between knowing a form was submitted and knowing what prompted it. Until you give us an address, your visit carries a random identifier and nothing else. Analytics errors captured from your browser are stored the same way. Ask us to delete it and we will.
  • If you reject analytics, neither is loaded at all: nothing is stored in your browser, no page views or session recordings are collected, and Google Consent Mode is set to deny every storage type.
  • Email address and message contents you voluntarily send to the addresses listed on this site.

Certain sections load content from other providers. When you interact with those sections, the provider's own privacy policy applies:

Cookies

Analytics and advertising cookies work differently here. Analytics is on unless you reject it, and rejecting stops it completely: the scripts are never loaded, so nothing is stored in your browser and no page views, session recordings or interactions are collected. Advertising cookies are the other way round — they are never set until you accept. Both are in Cookie settings below and you can change either at any time.

  • consent_v1 — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. 180 days. Set by this site, and it is strictly necessary.
  • ph_…_posthog — PostHog identifier that links your page views and session replay. Not set if you reject. 1 year. Set by PostHog (EU).
  • _ga, _ga_… — Google Analytics visitor and session identifiers. Not set if you reject. 2 years. Set by Google.
  • _gcl_au — Google Ads conversion attribution. Only set if you accept. 90 days. Set by Google.
  • _fbp, _fbc — Meta Pixel advertising identifiers, only if the pixel is enabled. Only set if you accept. 90 days. Set by Meta.
  • li_gc, lidc, bcookie, UserMatchHistory — LinkedIn Insight Tag advertising identifiers, only if the tag is enabled. Only set if you accept. Up to 2 years. Set by LinkedIn.
  • mc_attr — remembers which link, campaign or ad brought you here (landing page, referrer, UTM values, ad click IDs) so we can see which campaign brought your inquiry. Sent to our CRM (Attio) with your form or chat inquiry. Not set if you reject. 90 days. Set by this site.
  • __cf_bm, cf_clearance — bot management and rate limiting. 30 minutes to 1 year. Set by Cloudflare, and it is strictly necessary.
  • Reclaim.ai cookies — set by the booking calendar only if you interact with it, and governed by Reclaim's own policy.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also runs. It is cookieless and injected by Cloudflare at the network edge rather than by this site, so the cookie settings below do not control it.

How long we keep your data

Emails you send to marian@marian.coach are kept for as long as the working relationship or its potential requires. You can ask us to delete them at any time. Cloudflare server logs are retained per Cloudflare's own retention policy (typically a few days).

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, email marian@marian.coach. You can also file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) at uoou.cz.

Changes to this policy

Changes are published on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes affecting how we handle your data will be announced in advance where practical.
