Mentoring programs in Czechia, side by side.

Mentoring in Czechia means four rather different things: a six-month matched-mentor program, senior 1:1 with one person, a moderated peer group, and a willing colleague one floor up. This page puts them side by side with published prices and numbers, so you pick by where you are in your career rather than by whose ad found you first. I run one of the options, so read my row with that in mind; the other rows are each provider’s own numbers.
| Program | Format | Who it fits | Price | Published data |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Femme Palette | 1:1 with mentor matching, 6 months, up to 12 hours, about an hour every two weeks | Early and mid career: promotion, career change, first manager role, return from parental leave; a women-focused brand | 10,540 CZK upfront for the standard program, 11,594 CZK with self-selected mentor, coaching combos 19,320 to 25,180 CZK | 1,200+ mentors, average rating 4.84/5 |
| Mentoring with Marian (marian.coach) | 1:1 with one mentor directly, 395 EUR a session, 1,975 EUR for a 6-session quarter (5 paid + 1 free) | Senior engineering leadership: team leads, engineering managers, directors, VPs, CTOs | 395 EUR a session, ELC members 10% off every package; any session rated below 7/10 is free | 3,611 sessions with 317 leaders since 2019, 9.17/10 average across 300+ reviews, capped at 14 mentees in parallel |
| ELC peer circles | A moderated group of 6 to 8 leaders at the same level, every two weeks | Engineering leaders who need a room of peers rather than one mentor | Part of ELC company membership; prices published at engineeringleaders.io | 5 active circles inside a 3,200+ leader community |
| Internal company mentoring | A senior colleague, usually without structure or agreed cadence | Anyone whose company can offer a willing senior person | Free | None; ends where the colleague’s seniority and time end |
When Femme Palette is the right pick
Early and mid career. Femme Palette has 1,200+ mentors, clearly published prices, and a format that buys half a year of structured mentoring with chemistry-based matching for 10,540 CZK. For a promotion case, a career switch, a return from parental leave or a first manager role, that is a good service at a fair price. The 4.84/5 average rating is their own published figure.
Where the model runs out: a mentor for 12 hours across six months helps your career, but will not carry an org design for 60 engineers, a broken delivery, or your first CTO year with you. For that you need someone who has run the specific role and picks up when things burn.
When you need senior 1:1
When you already lead the team and the problem is the shape of the org, the delivery, or you in a new role. My mentoring is built for exactly that: 3,611 unique sessions with 317+ leaders since 2019, 9.17/10 average across 300+ reviews, and any session you rate below 7/10 is free. The price is public: 395 EUR a session, 1,975 EUR for the first quarter, same rate when your company pays. Details on the pricing page, numbers with methodology on the statistics page.
Not sure whether you need a mentor or a coach at all? That exact question has its own page.
The free layer: community and internal mentoring
Before paying anyone, exhaust the free layer. The Engineering Leaders Community has free membership, 12 meetups a year in four cities and 3,200+ leaders; a room of peers tells you whether your problem is normal, which is half the value of mentoring. Internal mentoring works until you hit your mentor’s seniority ceiling, which in engineering leadership tends to happen early.
